Philantrophy

Sigma Theta Psi's National Philantrophy is breast cancer. Each of our chapters hold an annual breast cancer event in order to raise money, educate and spread awareness. The SDSU/ Alpha Chapter proudly holds an annual Hush Hush Auction which was established in October of 1998. Sisters personally create different themed baskets that get auctioned off. These baskets often contain gift certificates from restaurants, amusements parks, clothing stores, etc as well as other fun stuff. All proceeds get directly donated to the fight against breast cancer. We also host many breast cancer workshops to help educate our campus and community, proudly participate and attend in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and the Race for the Cure, work closely with the American Cancer Society, and volunteer our time in various other ways.
